I Watched the Oscars Tonight

I watched the Oscars tonight to see Lady Gaga...Amazing singer, amazing song, amazing message!...I watched with tears the memorial to the people in my memories who have passed; I grew up near Hollywood... I grew up with these actors in movies of the past... Each year was a celebration at the Oscars!...and now the list of my favorite actors is only a handful.

The Oscars is an event dedicated to the people of  film who have made this their life's work, a time for positive celebration - but this year I felt it came short of that celebration...it was continuously bombarded with complaining disguised in lame antics and racist jokes...

 No matter how much glitter and confetti you throw from the ceiling, it won't hide this fact, and in my humble opinion the Oscars is now an event from my past.
